I was watching Rachel Maddow a couple of nights ago, when the Internet "went on strike" against SOPA and PIPA, and it was clear that a large part of Congress doesn't even understand how the Internet works. You've got members of Senate and the House illegally posting copyrighted material on their own sites, and they were called out on it.
This bites because once they get Megaupload, they're just going to go after other sites like it.
I understand fighting against piracy, but I'm more fearful about the government taking over the Internet when it has yet to understand how it works.
