Romance Town is seriously my favorite drama now

Although I wish there was a third guy for her to choose from. GW likes her alter ego Si Ah. YH only likes her for her money. Who's going to like SG for who she is (well GW eventually but that's not the point)?

It's honestly a very fun and quite unpredictable plot. LOL.

Jo Hyun Jae and Nam Gyu Ri at the 47th Baeksang Awards

Even though they murdered her, in the end, the Korean fans loved the couple. Although I can understand if there's some grumbling since another actress played her role for majority of the "romantic" scenes.

Lie To Me vs Romance Town

What do you do when you have a large ensemble cast but one central love story? You establish a relationship between the leads very early on.

Romance Town has a bunch of maids and a bunch of plots but the OTP is Soon Geum and Gun Woo. We need to establish backgrounds and stories for the numerous characters but to keep us from feeling that it's all just a waste of time, by episode 2, it was made clear that these two had some positive feelings for each other. And done in a realistic fashion. So while we might be looking forward to their love story unfolding, we aren't as anxious.

Lie To Me, on the other hand, has a multitude of plots but can't seem to figure out a way to put the leads together. If they spend 5 minutes together in an episode, it must be a gift from Santa. So when they spend time on all the other plots, it all just feels like filler. And it's suffering from the opposite illness of Greatest Love which I felt stuck the leads together for far too long in the earlier episodes. But when it comes to kdramas and OTP, too much is definitely better than too little.

Hilarious comment

"Episodes 1-18 were great. 19 and 20 seemed to be written by a fanfic writer under hypnosis." LOL

More on 49 Days

Living your day as if it is your last includes telling people you love them. Letting them know how much you love them. Straightening out the truth and not allowing misunderstandings because you feel they are better off or not expressing your love to shield them from pain. We all tell white lies from time to time to avoid disagreements and spare others feelings, it's true. But if my lover knew he was about to die, I would want to hear every single thing. He should give me the chance to deal with the consequences. I want to know everything. I want to hear everything. Don't die with unexpressed words in your heart. Don't assume I can just feel them.

Other than the crappy ending, part of the reason I don't like 49 Days is simply because I do not agree with the message.

You can't fight fate. Perhaps it's true but we do believe we can which is why when we are sick we don't just give up and say we'll die when we die. I remember reading about some stupid politician whose response to the killing of some youths during an election was that, "It was their time to go." Really? All those innocent kids were destined to die at the hands of some criminals? Then why do we have jails? Why is murder a crime? Why jail a drunk driver if it's all part of some master plan we can't avoid? I simply do not agree with this message nor how it was expressed in this drama. So I do not find it beautiful at all.

I like to be entertained when I watch a drama. I have watched dramas where characters died and felt it was hopeful. An example would be Jotei. He died but I liked the ending. This one on the other hand, I detest. I find it to be a horrible ending and regret watching it.

For me, it simply is too painful. After all the suffering and struggling, you must still face your destiny. I think that life is a journey with many roads that can lead to many different places so perhaps the destiny thing just doesn't work for me.

I should have known better about freaking 49 Days.

Or could I have? 49 Days never seemed to me to be a sad drama. Oh, how wrong I was. What a fucked up retarded ending.

There are many dramas where people die but they are allowed to have closure. The Song couple, they freaking had someone who'd been dead for 5 years, show up in the flesh and have a romantic date, kiss and everything else.

The other couple, nada. Even though the guy moved Heaven and earth for her. Did everything he could for her. In the end, they get one date with her pretending she has amnesia. Couldn't even say their I love yous. Totally retarded and stupid.

Till ep 18, it was rather predictable and what I wanted to see. I even predicted the three tears. Turns out it was all pointless because the last two episodes just had to RUIN the entire thing with a shock ending.

Is it a sin to have a happy ending? Yeah, real life is not HEA but this is a fucking Korean drama.

I don't fucking need a show to preach to me about the meaning of life. I can read the Bible. I can watch a documentary. Go to church. Read an autobiography. Don't fucking come up with a fantasy series where so much nonsense occurs and when we smell our happy ending, you take it away from us.

I'm not even bothered that there were no couples in the end. Fine. But to kill the character off? Are you insane? Instead of buying this series, I am going to delete all this nonsense off my computer and not even bother watching the last episode. Colossal waste of time.

The entertainment politics are really this bad? A junior actress can't end up with the lead guy? Even if her character was lead. Nonsense.

And this bullshit about death being destiny. I guess folks won't say that if a loved one is killed by a drunk driver. Or in a massacre. Or by a suicide bomber. After struggling to live and actually waking up, it's all, "Oh... well it was her time, anyway."

Well, screw you Writer and all your future scripts.

And Kang. Why do you hate Kang so much? Does he remind you of an ex-boyfriend who dumped you? Or an oppa you loved who never noticed you? Why couldn't he even find one ounce of happiness after all the did? Couldn't even properly spend time with the girl he loved. Had the bitch reject him and embarrass him because she's a noble idiot. Writer, you are truly wicked.

LOL. Well, that's my rant. Fucking retarded drama. No emotional pay off. Good 18 episodes that took the elevator down to hell in the last two episodes. Good riddance, 49 Days.

lol... used google translate to check out DC and the fans are very angry even though they were very spoiled. I checked the site out on Tuesday to find the preview and they pretty much knew the entire plot and were convinced it would happen.

My Romance Town Recap...

... was the easiest I've written in a long time. Totally painless. It does help that I only focused on the romance, though. But I hope it stays goods and doesn't start getting boring as hell like Dr. Champ.

Lie To Me I am sticking with because of its potential. Oddly enough, I find Best Love funny but I'm not that into it. My interest wanes with every episode but we'll see. I hope things become less shallow in ep 5 & 6.

So apparently...

... May 21st is Doomsday. One good thing is that the finale of 49 Days airs before then.
