What drama should I watch next? What's next on my recap list?!?!

I tried the Ramyun drama but kinda lost interest in the second episode. Maybe I will attempt another go at some point. But these days I've been kind of out of the loop kdrama-wise so I wonder what's airing soon and what I'll be recapping next. So lost these days...

Dramaland seems to have slowed down...

... or is it just me?  Hmm. I am contemplating my first sageuk but we shall see. I did try to watch Emperor of the Sea when it was hot but I couldn't even last 5 minutes. What's fun about watching people ride horses?

I guess I will try I'm A Flower, Too and 1000 Days Promise when they air but I can already envision myself dropping them at some point. I still have to finish Greatest Love (yeah, yeah, the last two episodes have been on hold forever), Romance Town (I might just watch the final episode), Scent of A Woman and Protect The Boss. Then there are a bunch of Japanese dramas I have on hold. I can't even say, "So many dramas so little time" because even when I have the time, I still don't watch them. What do I do when I have time to kill? HMMMMMMM,

Recap List

So I went from having nothing to recap to too many things to recap. Okay, that's false since I did have two things I had to finish up. Anyway...

I"ll write the last I Need Romance recap over the weekend.
Heartstrings... well, if the second episode is subbed this evening, I'll watch both and write thoughts by Friday. This one will be easier since it won't be an actual recap.
Zenkai Girl. I'll do a four episode summary then recaps after that. So hopefully I can finish that today. I'm going to have to do it from memory but it's all good. I freaking love it.
Protect the Boss. I wanted this to replace City Hunter but I don't think I'll even have time to watch it before Sunday but hey, it's not a race. I can do recaps, highlights or nothing depending on how I like it.

Does it matter who falls first?

When watching dramas, I do prefer that the guy is slightly more into the girl and falls head over heels but I don't think it matters to me who falls first. I just want them to fall for each other. But it seems like a lot of people feel differently because time after time, drama after drama, I always hear people wishing for him to fall first. What's so great about the guy falling first? To me, what matters is that he falls hard.

I think I've become desensitized to the psycho second lead

I'm watching Lie To Me and I pity her more than anything. Her clinginess has become annoying but it's more because I think her character shouldn't have had to go down this typical path. Watching My Princess, I was one of the few who didn't hate Yoon Joo. I mean, she sucked, but I was okay with her having a happy ending with her professor. Watching Drunken To Love You, I don't find his ex irritating. Yes, she's being annoying but we need some conflict in the drama, anyway. Or maybe I'm just so used to these characters that they don't bother me that much anymore? And I know for darned sure they won't really be able to affect the leads' love? Or maybe I've just watched too many dramas that nowadays I just roll my eyes at this.

I guess their shipper name is "The Coffee Couple." LOL

Dr. Champ episodes 3 & 4

So... it looks like I might have been wrong about the second lead, Hee Young. From the way she was introduced in the earlier episodes, I'd assumed that she was a typical second lead who tossed the lead away in the past but would want him when he began to develop an interest in another woman.

Truthfully, I am attracted to angsty couples - the kind that hurts each other all the time but can't be apart. Do Wook in his jealousy keeps mentioning Hee Young's husband to piss her off, and in turn she tosses him back in his face. But it was revealed that she's in fact divorced. So why doesn't she come clean? It think it's because she'd lose the upper hand and in addition, might end up opening a door she wishes to remain shut. It'll be interesting to see how Do Wook will act towards her now that he knows the truth. Being the kind of childish man he is when it comes to their relationship, I won't be surprised if he starts to test her in some form. But one thing is clear (well, seems clear) - they are still hung up on each other.

 In addition to liking angsty couples, I also love flawed ones and these two also fit the bill. I'm really looking forward to watching this relationship develop and I hope the writers give us some good stuff. The joke she made about being pretty to her athlete, Yoo Ri, also showed a cute side to Hee Young. I hope she turns out to be a great character.

We also saw some kind of development in the Ji Heon/Yeon Woo relationship. Truthfully, I don't like the idealistic types and both of this characters have that element to them. However,  even though Ji Heon can be very childish and act happy-go-lucky, we also know that there's some sadness in his life with the untold story of his brother's death and all the drama with his sister-in-law. I also don't like characters who wear their hearts on their sleeves like Ji Heon does but I guess he's still okay. Or maybe I'm just blinded by his hot bod! I can see how Yeon Woo might need someone like him in her life because she does seem to be a tad too serious about things so it's all good. We've started to see some jealousy on Ji Heon's part as he notices Yeon Woo's interest in her director, but on the other hand, we can see that Yeon Woo has become a lot more comfortable with him and that she notices he's a man (with the whole noodle thing).

I'm still not really shipping any couples per se, but I definitely wouldn't mind if these are the two love stories developed in this drama. I'm kind of sick of the usual kdrama love quadrangle so I'm more than happy to see one where the four leads = two couples.

In addition to the romance, they also delved into some "human interest" plots with the sick boxer. And it looks like Yeon Woo has landed herself into some hot soup with her callous actions regarding a prescription she made to an athlete. It's all good and I'm looking forward to next week's episodes. Fighting!

Playful Kiss 9 & 10

I finally saw episodes 9 & 10 of Playful Kiss. While it's not a bad drama, I think I've finally put my finger on what is lacking in it for me - an emotional connection with the characters.

I don't know if it's because I've previously seen ISWAK, but when watching the show, I don't feel like I am watching people - merely actors playing a role. So it's impossible for me to be drawn into their story. Even though Seung Jo has supposedly fallen for Ha Ni, truthfully, I don't see it at all. It's like their chemistry slowly diminished as time went by.

And speaking of the episodes in particular, I liked the moment when Seung Jo was leaving and even though he wanted to say goodbye to Ha Ni, being the person he is, he couldn't. So he kept his eyes on her while speaking to his brother. Essentially, he called out his brother's name but he was really talking to Ha Ni. Maybe that's what's missing with them - I don't see the emotion in their eyes.

Ha Ni, for her part, was very annoying in episode 10 with all the stalking and stuff. ARGH. And when I compare the bed scene in Playful Kiss versus the one in ISWAK, I must say there's no competition. In ISWAK, I could feel the sexual chemistry and could understand why Ariel's character was nervous about sleeping on the same bed as him. In Playful Kiss, it was almost like, "Girl, why's your mind going there? He won't do anything to you, anyway." 

I can already guess that the kiss in the rain (if it's here) will be nowhere as epic as the one in ISWAK.

On another note, the old dude playing the Tennis club leader must be having a blast with this role.

So yeah... I'm officially on the Outsourced train. The second episode was so much better than the pilot and had some laughs. It pokes fun at both American and Indian cultures and does have some heart. So I'll keep watching. Episode 2 was about needing to fire someone so they focused on the superflirt who spent a lot of phone time chatting up women and also the annoying talkative guy with low self esteem.

I am currently one foot off the Cougar Town train. This episode was better than last week's but still boring. lol. So yeah. I think I preferred it when there was romantic tension between her and the dude that she's dating. But since everything is all good, it's kinda dry.

Undercovers also had a better week than the pilot's, however, it's definitely underperforming ratings-wise so it sounds like there's a good chance it's getting canceled. Oh well.

I'm also officially on the Nikita Train. I've pretty much liked the last few episodes and even didn't mind this past week's one even though they decided to show us some Nikita/Michael sexual tension. Shane West's breathy voice is really annoying. Is that how he sounded on A Walk To Remember?  The episode was pretty good with the double agent although I suspected something like that because that actor is a little bit too recognizable for a such a bit role. So I did expect to see him in some capacity even after he supposedly died.

On the Asian drama front... I got reminded once again why I need to dust off that Rosetta Stone dvd and start learning!

Natsu-Niji... the drama ended like a month ago but no subs means I can't finish it. I'm currently stuck with two episodes to go.

Runaway started this week. Licensing stuff means I'm not going to see it till it's been resolved.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal is a drama I tried yesterday. I guess it's a good thing I decided to wait before trying it otherwise, I'd be in pain like all the others desperate for a fix. Even though the subs were halted on viikii, the folks over there were nice enough to provide softsubs but as these things always happen, someone hardsubbed the vids and now we're all out of luck. So that's on hold till the situation is sorted.

So which of my dramas did I get to see? None to be honest. Because even though Playful Kiss is available, I've chosen to wait for the full length HD versions of episodes 9 & 10. Since I just watch the drama to kill time, I can wait.

I decided not to bother with Eternal Love since it seemed that episode 6 was just a rehash of the previous episodes. I plan to just skip to ep 7.

I did, however, manage to watch a one episode drama special called The Great Gye Choon Bin.

It's a rom com about an art psychologist (uses art to read people) and a kindergarten teacher with a crush on him. I understand that there are limitations as they have to tell an entire story in like an hour but there are drama specials like Kanojo to no Tadashii Asobikata or Drama City's Fog Street that manage to hit that romantic spot despite the time constraint. I think there was too much going on with his married ex, little girl's issues, his issues, the person who kept defacing the signs etc etc for any real proper development of their relationship. So it didn't really work for me. I can understand why one might find this adorable but I need to see chemistry and want the couple to be together - not because the drama says so, but because I can feel it. And this special lacked it.

Anyway, this week, Dae Mul starring Kwon Sang Woo begins. I'm looking forward to it since it's a story about a gigolo and a president. lol. I've never seen a KSW drama before since it appears he likes doing all these sad ones and I avoid those so I hope I end up liking this one.

Bromance

I couldn't stand this character but I suddenly like him.

I also liked Ah Jin so perhaps it's partly due to the plot (although I didn't like him in earlier episodes) and perhaps also because of what appears to be bromance between the actor and KHJ. I saw some behind the scenes clips and interviews and they were very jokey and seemed to get along really well.

Bromance is probably another reason I am now looking forward to Runaway because Rain and the other dude seemed to really get along well in their interview and BTS- constantly teasing and joking with each other.

lol... I don't know what that's about but these k-actors don't seem to have any problems being rather physical with their fellow man. LOL.

It's all good, though. As a woman, I don't know what it is about bromance that interests me but perhaps it's because society kind of encourages men to hide their feelings so it's nice to see men being affectionate and open with each other. It's probably one of the reasons I love some of my favorite films such as: The Shawshank Redemption, Dil Chahta Hai and The King and the clown (even though this had some gay undertones so not strictly bromance).

My dramas...

Nikita episode 2 was okay. It gave us more back story on Alex. It was also less interesting than the premiere. But I'm sticking to it for now. I wonder if Nikita and Michael are going to have a showdown in the last five minutes of every single episode of this drama. It's happened twice and is already old. I guess they really are going to make a Nikita/Michael OTP story in this version. BLAH. I loved Shane West in A Walk To Remember, but am not really loving him in this. The Percy guy in this drama is like a caricature to me with this OTT meanness and I think one thing I appreciated about the USA Network version was that nobody was all bad... nor all good. Although there were some characters who were probably morally "superior" to others, in the sense that they rarely stepped over to the bad side, there were still no choir boy characters. And even the "bad" characters were good since the ultimate goal was always counter terrorism. But there was still jealousy, greed and all that other stuff that comes with working in such an organization. Talk less of the immoral routes they often took to reach a moral outcome.

Natsu-Niji... we had the confession in episode 8 and they are now a couple. But I don't really feel their love. You know the kind of couple that makes you feel all giddy when they get together? Like EunSoo in Coffee House, Sena and Minami in Long Vacation and even Hotaru and Buchou in Hotaru no Hikari. This couple just doesn't do it for me. The drama is fine but it doesn't make my heart thump and my belly flip like I feel a really good, touching romance drama should. And while Japanese dramas are understated, I still manage to find nice OTPs in some of them. But not this one. But it's all good. I'm still watching.

Endless Love. Speaking of a couple lacking chemistry, well, not only am I not really seeing the attraction they should have, they are also really bad actors. We had a "cute" episode 4 but I didn't get all giddy. I must say they still have more chemistry than the folks in Natsu-Niji, though. I can see the potential for some really nice stuff when we get in the middle of all the angst, after all I did feel some chemistry in ep 3. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get some gut wrenching angst in this drama... considering the male lead jilts the female one at the altar. That should create some good drama. *sigh* A good OTP with great chemistry can save a drama. Like in Peach Girl. Vanness amd that girl had such amazing chemistry that even though objectively, the drama may have sucked, (I skipped like 3 middle episodes) I enjoyed it. So please Endless Love, give us some great scenes that show the chemistry I think these non-actors can create together.

Speaking of chemistry, I hope Ethan and Cheryl can do another drama together. My Queen was so good for the first 12 episodes before they decided to draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag it because of the good ratings. Regardless, I tried to rewatch some nice parts but it looks like the subbing team quit at episode 11. Oh well :(  And the viikii page is all screwed up and I can't watch there. Truthfully, I stopped watching at ep 18, when they got together and recently decided to watch the last three episodes and lo and behold, no luck :( Someone should save me and sub the drama. LOL

Anyway, back to my dramas. I just finished Playful Kiss eps 5 & 6 and am no longer on the OTP ship. I now ship Joon Gu with Joo Ri. I ship Ha Ni with any other guy she meets at college and ship Seung Jo with a life of loneliness. *sigh* I know this dream won't come true but I hope in this version they do put Joon Gu and Joo Ri together. That kind hearted guy deserves happiness. It's a shame he's all fixated on the wrong girl. And Seung Jo is an ass for publicly humiliating Ha Ni like that. Why does he use her feelings against her? So pathetic and annoying.

I only got interested in Runaway after seeing that trailer. I'm somehow not interested in Athena.

So the Entourage Finale...

... yeah, this season was trash. The end didn't make me feel like tuning in next year - unlike last year's finale. Oh well... will probably still tune in anyway :D

I saw the first episode of Nikita. I was a huge fan of La Femme Nikita so I didn't want to go anywhere near this remake. Anyway, some good reviews made me give it a shot and it wasn't completely crap. It's different enough and I'll keep watching to see if it stays interesting. I do not, however, want a Nikita/Michael relationship in this version. I feel I won't be able to stomach it. Cos Nikita/Michael in the other version was like the OTP of all OTPs... I mean, their chemistry and relationship was just crazy and I doubt these fakers could even compare. So they should spare me. lol.

Have I lost interest in my Taiwanese drama, Endless Love? I think they are being way too cutesy and I need the drama ASAP. Since they already told us he's going to jilt her at the altar, that's all I'm waiting to see... so all this falling in love crap is freaking boring. Can we get to the good part already?

Playful Kiss is as cute as cute... but not compelling enough to make me think of it all week but cute while I watch it. So it's like my weekend drama.

It looks like it was a good idea to hold off on watching I am Legend cos it seems to be dragging and not as fun (based on comments I've read so far). I really hope I can find a drama to draw me into its world the way Coffee House did. Kang Ji Hwan and Park Si Yeon, please freaking do another drama together. For my sake. PLEASE!

Now I've begun to watch a British series called Married Single Other. I do like British relationship series like Coupling (probably my favorite sitcom of all time - at least top 3 for damn sure) and Cold Feet. So far, it's okay. I've only seen one episode but we'll see how the other episodes are. Ages ago, I watched another series called Ny-Lon starring Quincy Jones' daughter and the dude from True Blood. It was nothing special, not very realistic and had no ending. Or an open ending. Well, me no like open endings. At least give an open ending that's not so wide open.

Entourage ends tomorrow...

... which marks the end of my American summer shows. I watched Drop Dead Diva (an okay season), Psych (sporadically so no review yet. But better than last season so far) and Entourage which ends tomorrow.

I'll say the current season of Entourage is definitely not the best but the guys are still funny even if Vince is completely boring and the entire Turtle storyline has proven to be pointless. Eric is normally boring anyway but Drama was funny to me till the last two or three episodes when his storyline stopped moving. Ari was fun this season except for the stupidity of the last episode. Ari has a crazy temper but he's not foolish. In the last episode, he acted like a fool. Truth be told, this is probably one of the worst seasons so far but I just like these guys so I don't mind watching them for 20 minutes once a week. 

And who in the hell takes a hiatus right before the final episode? But whatever. I hope the finale will make me want to watch the final season next year.

Since Fall has begun, I guess we're going to be going back to our regular programming. I started off last year with three shows: Cougar Town, Gossip Girl and Bones. However, by the time May rolled around, I was only watching Cougar Town.

So now, I'll start off this season only watching Cougar Town. Let's see if I'm still watching it next year.

On the Asian drama front, I am still watching my Japanese drama, Natsu-Niji. It's not something to get all crazy over but it's cute enough. I am also watching Playful Kiss which is another that's cute enough but nothing special. But how often do we get "special" dramas anyway? The third I'm watching is a twdrama called Endless Love. So far, so okay. It's Cliche Central with a spoiled, little rich girl and a noble poor boy. Except the girl isn't so spoiled and the guy is not as noble as he initially appears. Then we have the oppa the girl is in love with who doesn't give her the time of day. But you know how that goes... once she starts to like the poor guy, oppa begins to notice her. He's already getting on my nerves so I am sure he's an annoying character. There's also a fourth character a.k.a. second lead girl but she hasn't appeared yet. The synopsis says the poor guy will jilt the rich girl at the altar at some point... lol. So I'm looking forward to that. The first three episodes are about the meeting, initial dislike and now the journey to love. I hope the drama ends up not being a waste of time. It's funny how the lead actress has won two awards for previous roles yet she comes off quite terribly in this drama. I wonder if her family owns the organization(s) that gave her those awards.

So with only a few shows to watch, I guess I better learn to kill time in more productive ways.

I'm in love by Narsha

Semi-abandoning kdamas three years ago also meant that I also semi-abandoned k-music. I'm not a boyband/idol fan but I appreciate good music - even if I don't understand the language. I tend to go for mellower music and there's loads of that in kmusic. I've recently discovered a pretty song called "I'm in love."

 

Turns out it's a remake of another song by an artist called Ra.D. I think his version is arguably better but Narsha also sings it in a pretty way. So in the end, it's a matter of taste.



I'll say that the best thing about watching kdramas is that even if it ends up sucking and becoming a waste of your time, you'll most likely find at least one good song on the drama's O.S.T. Case in point, this one off Oh My Lady's soundtrack.

List of Dramas that are supposedly good...

... but I just can't get into them. There are some dramas that made me feel this way that I eventually managed to get through and liked them like Delightful Girl and Hana Yori Dango. So maybe I'll cross some off this list at a later date. But for now:

1) City Hall. Everyone says it's so good and blah blah... and each time I try to watch it, all I see is blah blah. I must have attempted this drama at least 10 times by now but no go.

2) When at Night. I like Sun Ah which is why I try her dramas. But so far, MNIKSS is the only one I've managed to watch. Good thing cos it's my fav.

3) Gourmet

4) Pasta. Sorry but BORING.

5)Capital Scandal. I've seen 6 episodes so far and it took me like 20 hours in total to watch them :(  Intellectually, I can tell that it's a good drama but I'm just not feeling it right now. Maybe I'll revisit at a later date.

6)Soulmate. I'm yawning thinking about it.

7)Golden Bride. It might be good. But why is it so long for crying out loud?

Out of Sheer Boredom...

... I've decided to create a post with all my drama ratings. As well as perhaps write some reviews like I did for Nodame Cantabile. I must really be bored.

Gosh... is this going to show me just how much of a loser I am when I list ALL the dramas I've seen? lol. Should be fun and a good time waster.

I am absolutely and totally in love with Nodame Cantabile

Nodame Cantabile is a Japanese drama based on a similarly titled manga. From what I understand, the drama only spans the first 9 volumes of the manga so I suppose there's a lot more story left. Apparently, there are 18 volumes and it's yet to be completed.

The drama is set in a music academy where the title character, Noda Megumi, is a 3rd year student and her love interest and the love of my life, Chiaki Shinichi is a 4th year student.

So why do I love this drama so much? It's freaking adorable. Like the other dramas based on mangas I've seen (It Started With A Kiss, Hana Kimi), the male lead is very straightlaced while the female is quite psycho. In many respects, I found this drama to be quite similar to ISWAK although they tell entirely different stories.

Chiaki is a genius pianist who follows the rules but not his heart. He's got the technique down and is quite a brilliant player but doesn't add much 'life' to it. Even though he's talented in both the piano and the violin, his dream is to be a conductor. This character is played by Tamaki Hiroshi and I must stay that he makes my heart flutter. I ended up watching another movie of his (Heavenly Forest) because I just needed more and even though he was cute in that, it was nothing like he was in Nodame Cantabile. I think it was a combination of his haircut, lighting and just the character he played. Yum.



Technically, he isn't as good looking as say, Wu Chun or Won Bin. Plus I think he looks at least 5 years older than his actual age of 27, but there's something so damn HOT and sexy about him. Plus his lips are just to die for.


Nodame is also a genius pianist but she lacks organization. She plays her piano with feeling but no technique in the sense that she never follows the sheet music but instead, lets her emotions rule. So in the end, she plays very sloppily. Anyone listening to her can tell that she's extremely talented but lacks discipline. In addition, she isn't ambitious and even though she attends a music academy, dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher. I found her character quite sweet and not as annoying as I would have expected. She wears her heart on her sleeve and makes her feelings known like most of these characters normally do but it was quite endearing in her case.

So the story is pretty much about how these two different characters meet, interact and change each other for the better. Yeah, typical but it works.

I remember trying to watch Devil Beside You but I found it so animated that I got turned off. This drama is also very animated but for some reason, all the exaggerations really worked here.

I don't know why but I think a lot of it had to do with the actors and how much they appeared to enjoy playing these over the top characters. For example, the lead female character in My Girl was technically less over the top than Nodame was, yet, she appeared less natural to me. It might have a lot to do with the fact that the characters in My Girl were regular people unlike the all around craziness in Nodame.

In addition, even though Chiaki was the most normal of the main characters, he was also quite crazy. In shows like Hana Kimi or even in a story like David Copperfield, the male protagonist is pretty much boring while all the surrounding crazy characters make the story alive. In this drama, Chiaki also brought a lot of life to the storyline. The actor, Tamaki Hiroshi, as I already mentioned was beyond gorgeous on screen but in addition to this, the anime features like the way he twitched his cheek when something was awry, the way his eyes rolled back and he started to shake whenever he remembered his near-plane crash from childhood and even the way he tilted his head and 'fainted' when something nuts happened, cracked me up endlessly. And boy, did I mention he was so cute? From their NGs, they seemed to really enjoy their roles. I really loved how the entire crew would burst into a chorus of "aye" whenever an actor messed up.

Other characters in the drama cracked me up. Stresemann who was supposedly German but obviously played by a Japanese actor was beyond hilarious. I don't even know how the other actors managed to keep a straight face around him. His accent and manner of speech were beyond hilarious and his dialogues were virtually priceless. Even though he was such a creepy, dirty old man, I found his character the most memorable. I just loved his NGs:

Ryutaro was a character I grew to love. He started off as the stereotypical bleach blonde rocker dude uninterested in classical music but turned out to be one of the most responsible and caring characters in the entire drama. It was cliche in the sense that he eventually grew to respect classical music but his storyline was very well done. His was the character I would love to be friends with in real life.

Masumi, the gay guy with an afro and a freakishly weird moustache was also a sight for sore eyes. Other than his 70s clothing and platforms, he was so hilarious in his quest for Chiaki's love. One of my favorite scenes was when Chiaki walked into Nodame's apartment while Ryutaro and Masumi were there. This was early in the series when Nodame and Masumi agreed to a duel for Chiaki's love (lol) and when he (Chiaki) walked in, Ryutaro informed him of their fight. Chiaki said, "I can never be attracted to a woman like Nodame (whose face had been badly painted by her opponent)." Then he pointed at Masumi and said, "And... and, isn't this one a man?" Masumi's reaction to that comment was killer.

I thoroughly enjoyed the music (even though I have no ear for it) and orchestra (created by Stresemann featuring all the misfit underachievers at the academy) and the storylines about friendship were great. If I could change anything, I would add a lot more romance between Chiaki and Nodame. Even though their hug was touching, I would have loved to see more romance than this:



In addition, even though it was quite obvious that Ryutaro was going to hook up with fellow violinist, Kiyora, their storyline wasn't very well developed. It went from sexual tension to him saying he loved her to them waking up in bed together. Yes, there were other scenes in between but it would have been nice to see some real development between them.

There will be a two-hour sequel airing in January 08 and even though I doubt Ryutaro/Kiyora will appear, I hope it focuses on Chiaki and Nodame's romance.

All in all, I loved Nodame Cantabile :) I love this so much that I seriously considered writing a fic sequel like I did for MNIKSS but since this is a manga, I guess there already is a continuation to the story. But hey, I might still do it.

People often ask me why I enjoy Asian Dramas so much and Nodame Cantabile is a very good example why: they can be so delightful.

Subs for episodes 14 & 15 of Coffee Prince came out last night. I've seen episode 14 and found it so much better than the previous one. I think it had a lot to do with grandma's disapproval so at least there was some angst. And it was quite romantic.

Now, what cracked me the HELL up was the guy's so called dream job. I know he supposedly had a thing for toys so I thought the job was toy-related. It certainly didn't help that the offer letter from New York, FL looked like a copy and paste job from a Monster.com ad. But the funniest thing I've heard all day was that the position he was moving to America for was Senior Blog Designer. Okay, but seriously, WTF?!?!? I laughed for like 5 minutes nonstop for that. His parents were pushing him to return to America to be a blog designer? And how much do people make at that job anyway? Isn't that something anyone with html skills can do? That's his dream job? Or were the subs wrong?

Other than that, it was a vast improvement from episode 13.

I'm also watching Rude Woman starring my hot guy of the moment, Lee Ki Woo. Okay, this guy is freaking gorgeous. I can eat him up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The guy is like 6'3 which is just awesome and his little lisp is so freaking cute. Gosh! I'm enjoying the drama because it's lighthearted and cute but Ki Woo is the butter icing on the yummy carrot cake. Mmmm. I'm slightly psycho so I've not been watching the episodes in sequence but it's still very cute.


I've been watching Someday on AZN and it's supposed to be an intelligent show and although the treatment is quite nice, it's still the same old love rectangle thing except I'm not rooting for anyone. I really wouldn't mind the main girl ending up alone. For one, the rejected guy is so clingy and annoying, trying to force himself on her but the other guy is pissing me off with all his suicidal tendencies. But I'll keep watching.

I finally saw episode 13 of Coffee Prince...

... and it was incredibly boring. UGH!
